Tottenham are preparing an ambitious swoop for PSG forward Ezequiel Lavezzi in January with Andre Villas-Boas being given permission to further strengthen his squad.
Spurs made a number of high profile signings in the summer but with the sale of Gareth Bale, the club still made a profit at the end of the transfer window.
That means there will be funds available to Villas-Boas in January and Lavezzi is believed to be high on the Portugese's wanted list.
The Argentine frontman has been in and out of the team this season following the arrival of Edison Cavani in the summer and Lavezzi is concerned for his place in Argentina's World Cup squad.
The 28-year-old would cost around £15m.
