Boreham Wood have further bolstered their striking options with the loan signing of Barnsley’s Harry White until the end of the season.

White joined the Tykes from National League North outfit Gloucester City earlier in the campaign after scoring seven times in 18 starts last season.

That form earned a move to the League One club who loaned him to National League Kidderminster Harriers earlier in the campaign. He scored three in seven for the struggling Worcestershire outfit.

Speaking to the club’s website Wood boss Luke Garrard said: “Harry really impressed me with his work ethic, strength and commitment when he played against us last month.

“So when the chairman told me there was a possibility that he could get him I was absolutely delighted.

“We all know we need goals, we all know our defence is not a problem and with the strike force I now have fit and at my disposal, I’m hoping that they will get the goals that will fire us too survival.

Chairman Danny Hunter added: “I would like to thank Barnsley chief executive Ben Mansford for all his help in getting this deal done and done with the minimum of fuss.

“I’m mindful not to put too much pressure on young Harry but he just might be the link we’ve been missing and his signature now gives Luke a very strong 21 man squad going into the run in.”
