Boreham Wood travel to Havant & Waterlooville on Wednesday in the first leg of the Conference South play-off semi-finals.
The Wood are just three games away from winning a place in the Conference, which from next season will be called the National League, and neither side has ever reached English football’s fifth tier before.
Boreham Wood ended the season with a dramatic 4-3 win over Chelmsford City on the final day of the regular season, sealing second place for Ian Allinson’s side after missing out on the title to Bromley by two points.
Speaking ahead of the game, Allinson said: “Obviously we were happy to avoid Whitehawk at this stage, who are without a doubt the current in form side that are in the play-offs.
“That said it is a tremendous challenge for all the sides left in the competition and we need to be still in this on Saturday when Havant come to Meadow Park to stand a chance of progressing to the final.”
Hampshire side Havant finished the season strongly in fifth, recording a 1-0 final-day victory over in-form Whitehawk.
Coach tickets are priced at £15 and can be reserved via the club's online shop or emailing media and communications manager Grant Morris on grant.bwfc@outlook.com.
The second leg of the semi-final takes place at Wood’s Meadow Park on Saturday, May 2. Kick-off is at 3pm.
The game is not all-ticket but there will be segregation between Wood and Havant supporters.
