A concert of classical music in Borehamwood raised more than £600 for charity.
Nearly 100 people attended the concert at Fairway Hall, which was hosted by classical singer Adria Jackson and raised money for Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.
The performers, who included Mrs Jackson, performed a selection of classical music, folk songs and pieces by Gilbert and Sullivan, which had audience members joining in.
Mrs Jackson said: “It was a really successful event and the audience had a great time.
“I had a lot of fun as well, as usually organising events like this can be quite stressful, but it was good.”
The event was organised by Councillor Pat Strack.
She said: “It was an absolutely fantastic concert and we will certainly be doing it again.
“The air ambulance is such an important service to our community and they work entirely on people's donations.
“It’s such a worthy cause and the ambulance’s work can be the difference between life and death for some people.”
