TWO brothers, jailed for an attack that left a Borehamwood man with brain damage after their family was held at knifepoint, have failed in an appeal court bid to challenge their convictions.

Munir Hussain, 52, was jailed for 30 months and brother Tokeer Hussain, 35, for 39 months for GBH with intent in December for the attack against Walid Salem, from Eldon Avenue.

The Court of Appeal in London yesterday rejected their bid to appeal against conviction.

A ruling is expected today on the brothers’ appeal against their sentences.

The charge related to an attack in the street in High Wycombe in September 2008, after Munir and his family were held in their home by a group of intruders that included Salem.
