Staff from the Borehamwood branch of the Royal Bank of Scotland have topped off a great year of fundraising by releasing a charity Christmas CD.

A team from the business lending unit (BLU) have put together from scratch a festive album called Misletoe & Whine.

The group has raised more than £20,000 for charities in the past year. They hope to see that total rise even higher from sales of their seasonal CD.

Calling themselves the Blu’s Brothers & Sisters, the team sung, recorded and produced the CD in their spare time.

The CD is being sold to RBS workers across the country for £5, with all proceeds being split between two causes - the Borehamwood branch of The Royal British Legion and Children with Leukemia.

A highlight of the CD is a Christmas rap, performed by The Goldilocks Crew & Sue, but the disc also features some more traditional holiday tunes.

Ken Leigh, singer and RBS sanctioner, said it was “great fun” making the CD. “I hope we sell as many copies as possible to raise even more funds for Children with Leukemia and The Royal British Legion here in Borehamwood.

“These charities are particularly close to our hearts,” he said.
