People are being encouraged to get involved in a programme which helps improve self-confidence, mobility, and quality of life.

Positive Movement is specifically designed for older people, who are at frail and at risk of falls, or may be experiencing a mobility or physical disability.

It takes place at Maxwell Park community centre in Borehamwood every Wednesday from 2.15pm to 3.45pm.

The county wide programme is based upon a form of adaptive yoga. It is based on principles of the Alexander Technique, an approach that teaches people how to make changes in posture and simple movements that minimise any muscle strain.

Sessions cost £4 and transport can be available if required.
