A charity has reached a milestone after donating more than £10 million worth of goods to refugees across the world.

Goods for Good, based in Borehamwood, have now provided much needed items for more than a million people, since the charity was formed three years ago.

In the past three years, the charity has helped co-ordinate sending overstocked goods such as shoes and nappies to vulnerable countries around the globe, including Uganda, Zimbabwe, and Syria.

For businesses, donating overstocked goods, such as nappies, shoes and bedding, the charity provides a way of helping those in need as well as the environment. Instead of sending these goods to landfill, they go to children and their parents in desperate need of the basics to live.

Goods for Good CEO Rosalind Bluestone said: “Thanks to generous support, aid has reached refugee camps across the world.

“We reached a milestone, but there are many more people that urgently need our help. To think of mothers without blankets or nappies for their babies is unimaginable.”

The charity hopes to donate £25 million worth of goods by 2020.
