Nearly 70 bags of food were collected to donate to St Teresa's church food bank.

Crisp Recruitment ran the appeal to their clients last month and they were "overwhelmed" by the response that they got.

The total weight of food donated weighed more than 350kg, the biggest contribution The Trussell Trust food bank, on Shenley Road, has seen this festive period.

Crisp Recruitment's director Lisa Smith said: “The foundations of our business is driven by the passion we have for supporting local companies and local people with the recruitment process, we wanted to see how else we could support the Borehamwood community this festive season with our network.

"Having a job is a bare necessity of life, as is food and we want to ensure we can support the individuals in need. We know the satisfaction we get from finding one person a job, we can only imagine how satisfying it will be to be able to support the whole community.

"The food bank was an unanimous choice for our team with one of our employees close family members benefiting from their incredible support.”
