The future of a “beautiful” reservoir in need of serious repair will be discussed at a meeting.

People are invited to the next Elstree and Borehamwood Residents Association AGM on Tuesday, March 31 at 7.45pm. The meeting will follow at 8pm.

Topics for discussion include Aldenham Reservoir, in Dagger Lane, Elstree, which is leased to Hertfordshire County Council, but that lease is due to expire in September.

The reservoir is in need of serious repair, and property developer Liberty Aldenham has agreed to save the dam – should it receive planning permission to build flats in nearby Centennial Park.

Also on the agenda is the Herts Buses campaign, plans for a new waste depot and details about the new Centre of Sporting Excellence, in Rowley Lane, which was granted permission last week.

The meeting will take place in Manor House, Allum Lane, Elstree.

Non members pay £2 per person for meeting but membership costs £6 per household for a year.
