Schoolchildren heard what it is like to work at the top of government when they met one of their parliamentary candidates.
Oliver Dowden, who is standing to be Hertsmere’s next Conservative MP, spoke to Year 10 pupils at Hertswood Academy, in Thrift Farm Lane, Borehamwood.
He is known as David Cameron’s ‘right hand man’ and spoke to pupils about what his job entails.
Pupils interviewed Mr Dowden on camera for a BBC News School report, asking questions about his background, his preparations for the election and how he prepares to serve the community.
