People are being urged to cut the amount of sugar they eat by swapping it for something healthier.
Parents in Borehamwood and Potters Bar are being invited to take part in the Change4Life campaign, backed by Hertfordshire County Council.
Sugar can cause diabetes, and have an impact on mental health and cause toth decay.
The project includes swapping sugary cereal for plain cereal, ice cream to low fat yoghurt and a muffin to a fruited teacake.
Families can register for their free Sugar Swaps pack filled with hints and tips on how to cut down. To sign up, families just need to visit the change for life website www.nhs.uk/change4life/Pages/change-for-life.aspx
