Previously untold accounts of the 7/7 bombings in London have been brought to light in a documentary marking the tragedy’s seventh anniversary.

The terrorist attacks, which took place across the capital on July 7, 2005, claimed the lives of 52 people and more than 700 were left injured.

Among the victims was 22-year-old hairdresser Phil Beer, who lived in Masefield Road, Borehamwood.

He and 25 other passengers were killed when a suicide bomber detonated a home-made device on a Piccadilly Line train between Kings Cross-St Pancras and Russell Square.

The BBC2 documentary, 7/7: One Day in London, reveals the experiences of the people whose lives were changed by the terrorist attacks.

Survivors of the tube and bus bombings and families of the 52 victims are among those featured on the programme.

The documentary is available on BBC iPlayer until Monday, July 9.
