Santa flung from roof during strong winds in Potters Bar
A LARGE inflatable Santa was torn from its resting place on the roof of a Potters Bar pub during strong winds last night.
The 30 foot illuminated Santa was installed on the roof of The Old Manor bar and Restaurant last week, but has today been removed for repairs.
Manager Darren De Hoy said he was alerted that something was wrong when he noticed Santa waving through the windows.
“I was pouring a pint behind the bar when I noticed that Santa’s sack was flapping against the window. He’s off to get fixed today and should be back up on his perch tomorrow.”
Mr De Hoy said a tear in the chimney section of the design was the only damage caused and no damage was made to the roof of the premises.
