A GROUP of businesses located on a farm near Radlett have joined forces to mount a charity event to raise money for earthquake victims in Haiti on Saturday.
The 15 shops and businesses at Battlers Green Farm have set themselves a target of £2,000 for the event, which will offer visitors music, Caribbean food and wine-tasting, as well as a children's art competition, and a raffle with prizes donated by the businesses.
Farm manager Paul Haworth said: "None us could fail to have been moved and stunned by the tragic events in Haiti.
"Our hearts especially went out to the children and families, which is why we have chosen to focus our efforts particularly in that direction"
Mayor of Hertsmere Rosemary Gilligan will open the event at 11.30am at the Aga Shop, and the event will be helped by local Scouts.
