BUDDING teenage entrepreneurs from across the county, including Elstree, set up shop in Watford yesterday as part of the Young Enterprise Annual Trade Fair.
Year 12 students from schools in Elstree, Watford, Northwood, Rickmansworth, Abbots Langley and Hemel Hempstead descended on the Harlequin Shopping centre at 7.30am, preparing their business stalls for the public.
Jewellery, charm adorned flip flops, decorated potted plants, celebratory cards and personalised t-shirts were some of the items offered for sale.
Set up through the Youth Enterprise Charity, a scheme which provides pupils with first hand experience of running a company, the 22 small enterprises were also being judged on their efforts by four judges with business backgrounds.
Students will be awarded for best trade stand display, product, customer service and a general best company award.
