Okay, so what is the latest news in the world of Celebrity Big Brother?

Remember I mentioned in my CBB blog the other day that I thought that someone such as Age Concern would complain about the Last Legs task? Well, according to The Mirror, Registered Nursing Home Association boss Frank Ursell, has.

Ursell is quoted as having said: "We are appalled Channel 4 thinks it's okay to represent older people and nursing homes in such a puerile and ill-informed way."

Whatever your views on the task, I have to say I thought Ivana and Stephanie's ability to remain cool and calm throughout the task when playing the carer's was amazing. I personally would have lost my temper with some of the housemates with the way they were carrying on! I continue to love Beacham in the house and still hope she wins!

On a lighter note, The Tree of Temptation is causing a bit of a stir on Facebook! Arguably having more fans than certain housemates, the tree prop in the CBB garden, which is voiced by a CBB task producer, had 941 fans on one Facebook page at a last look! And yes, I am one of those fans!

I am starting to get really annoyed with housemate Stephen. One of the things I am most annoyed about is the way he lied to Nicola in the house the other day. And no, I don't think he's playing a game; I just think he doesn't like admitting when he's wrong. I also don't like the way he talks to Nicola or about her behind her back.

I personally think Nicola is an enthusiastic, good-natured and sweet girl whose presence I welcome in the house.

Last night's Live Feed was another disaster! Viewers were once again met with more hours of the early-to-bed housemates sleeping.

As I have previously suggested, why don't the CBB producers set late-night tasks to ensure that at least two housemates are awake for at least an hour or so of the Live Feed? Either that or the six hours of Live Feed should be started at 6pm - not 12am! Six-odd hours of sleeping housemates, what a waste of money!

Finally, Celebrity Big Brother is currently pulling in around 3m viewers per night for Channel 4; and former CBB contestant John McCririck has joined fans in asking Channel 4 to reconsider the future of CBB.

Speaking on Live From Studio Five, McCririck said: "I think Channel 4 should think about bringing it back. It's got their highest viewing figures still. Why deny people?"

I couldn't agree more, John. The problem is Channel 4 is simply not interested. Indeed, I would argue the channel lost interest in CBB and BB a good two or three years ago.

Ironically, C4 director of television Kevin Lygo confirmed that the show was "still profitable" but said that the decision not to re-commission the series (CBB and BB) was due to the channel's "public remit to champion new forms of creativity".

If that is the case, why do both Channel 4 and sister channel E4 continue to show endless repeats of Friends? That's hardly championing new forms of creativity is it?
