A chef is leaving behind his Elstree home to take on the jungle in the latest series of I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.

Gino D'Acampo is one of eleven contestants on the hit ITV show, which kicks off on Sunday night from a camp deep in the Australian rainforest.

The 34-year-old chef, who owned the former Shenley Road delicatessen Delizie and currently runs the Italian food supplier Bontà Italia Ltd, in Theobold Street, will leave behind his celebrity lifestyle to live rough and face the prospect of humiliating challenges to win food.

Mr D'Acampo is a regular chef on BBC's Ready Steady Cook, and appears on ITV's This Morning every Tuesday to offer cooking tips.

He will be joined in the jungle by stars including glamour model Sam Fox, TV interior designers Colin and Justin, and ex-Eastender Lucy Benjamin.

There are also rumours fame-hungry glamour model Katie Price, also known as Jordan, has been lured back to the show after appearing on the 2004 series where she met her ex-husband Peter Andre.
