Considering the high-profile nature of Big Brother, and previous attempts to gain access to the set, it was to be expected that tough security measures would be in place for last week's launch show.
They were obviously not tough enough. It is an embarrassment to the studios and all those involved in the programme that two reporters were able to roam free without their identities being checked. It also raises wider concerns about security at the Shenley Road site. Studio chiefs must raise their game to ensure the next attempted security breach is snubbed out far quicker.
