Horse-lovers will have a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with shire horses in Elstree next week.
Shire horse expert Chris Carpenter, who has been breeding and training the animals all his working life, will be offering tuition on working with the horses for farming techniques, as well as opportunities to ride them.The event, next Friday May 11 at Aldenham Country Park, off Dagger Lane, will run from 10.30am to 4pm. It is suitable for people aged 16 and above, The cost is £70, which includes lunch.Booking in advance is essential.
