As May's local elections appear on the horizon, people will be starting to think about which way they will vote.
The likelihood of the Liberal Democrats again failing to nominate candidates in Borehamwood is particularly worrying.Although the party's leader in Hertsmere, Robert Gamble, is right to suggest they must pick fights they can win, not finding potential candidates on a scale such as this is troublesome.The threat of far-right parties such as the BNP coming to the area must be fended off - beginning with the mainstream parties finding ways to attract people to stand as candidates.
