A Jewish primary school in Shenley is set to be awarded county council funding this year to help pay for a nursery to be built at the premises.
Hertfordshire County Council has agreed to award Clore Shalom School, in Hugo Gryn Way, £40,000 towards the £150,000 that it needs for the nursery.
Under a Government initiative to encourage outside funding for school improvements, the school and its parents will be expected to raise the remainder.
*The county council has agreed that an idea to build a covered walkway at Borehamwood's Saffron Green School would be worthy of funding in the future.
The school, in Nicoll Way, needs around £30,000 to pay for a walkway to link its Rainbow Room to the main school building.
