IN deciding whether to move planned surgery facilities from Barnet Hospital to Chase Farm Hospital, in Enfield, health chiefs should consider the effect the changes will have on residents.
It is difficult enough for residents to get to Barnet Hospital but to have to travel across London to Enfield would mean better transport links would need to be installed. The elderly, in particular, will have trouble accessing services if they are further away.
Let's hope the decision made will be mindful of this issue.
