A police helicopter was called in to help in the pursuit of off-road motorcycles suspected of being ridden in a dangerous manner.

Metropolitan Police officers tailed the scrambler bikes all the way from Enfield before they came to a stop in Furzehill Road in Borehamwood yesterday (Thursday) at around 7pm.

A police helicopter circled Scratchwood Open Space for around half an hour while officers on the ground stood by a motor scooter propped up against a lamppost.

Two 15-year-old boys were arrested and have been released under investigation.
