A five-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a car this morning.
Police, paramedics, and an air ambulance were called to Furzehill Road in Borehamwood at 8.37am this morning.
The collision involved the boy and a silver Vauxhall Astra, and happened close to Summerswood Primary School.
A witness reported that it took place at the traffic lights.
The boy sustained cuts and grazes and was taken to Barnet General Hospital by ambulance as a precaution.
Police closed the road but it reopened at 9.30am.
