This morning, she wouldn’t go down in the cot, so I summoned up the energy,
To walk her round the block.
My granddaughter needed a sleep, so I went out with her, in the buggy,
But kept having to stop.
Vehicles were partly parked on the pavements, obstructing our way, forcing us,
Periodically onto the road
Where it was dangerous as we could have been in, or caused an accident, plus
It’s against The Highway Code
So when parking your vehicle, please always remember that the pavement
Is for the use of pedestrians.
And ensure that it’s not a potential obstacle to their safety and enjoyment.
Due to your actions, of course I do know,
That some roads are narrow.
So if you mount the pavement with your vehicle,
Then ensure that it’s passable for other people.
Thankfully, this time around,
We came home, safe and sound.
Said granddaughter finally succumbed to sleep,
As we got right to the end of our street.
