THERE should be better provision for pedestrians while roadworks continue near Elstree & Borehamwood railway station.
To block off a street without offering any alternative to people using the station is irresponsible.
Something needs to be put in place urgently. At busy times, the scene outside the station is chaotic enough, without the additional stream of commuters sharing the road.
It should not be a case of waiting for an accident to happen before something is done.
