A man had to be rescued from his van after a three vehicle crash on the A1.
Firefighters from Borehamwood, St Albans, Hatfield, and Potters Bar, worked to free the trapped driver after the collision at 5.30pm yesterday on the M25 slip road, north of Borehamwood.
He suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital.
The A1 was shut for two hours northbound from Stirling Corner to the M25 whilst emergency services dealt with the incident.
The crash also involved another van and a Renault Twingo. There were no other reported injuries.
The A1 re-opened at 7.30pm.
