Creative industries in Hertsmere were championed at a national political event.
MP for Hertsmere Oliver Dowden spoke at this year’s Conservative Party conference to promote how important companies like Elstree Studios are for the borough.
The event run by the South Hertfordshire Business Club was attended by Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport Karen Bradley MP.
Mr Dowden said: “It was a great to chair South Hertfordshire Business Club’s event at the Conservative Party conference last week.
“I was pleased to see it so well attended and that we used the opportunity to raise the profile of Hertsmere’s local businesses, in particular our fantastic film and television studios. This is something I always try to do as your MP.
“It was a constructive discussion between local officials, business leaders and the Culture Secretary and I was glad she had the chance to learn more first-hand about the great successes of this local industry.
“Thank you to our local councillors, Morris Bright and Paul Morris for organising this excellent event.”
