Children designed a colourful banner to display in the renovated RAF Museum.
Pupils from Colindale Primary School, Clovelly Avenue, created a multi-coloured banner to celebrate the RAF's aviation heritage in Hendon, which will be displayed in the museum as building works continue.
The museum is being revamped in preparation for the RAF's centenary celebrations, creating a new welcome centre and gallery spaces before its grand opening in 2018.
Maggie Appleton, RAF Museum CEO said: “As well as being a national museum, we are proud to be a community museum with a local identity.
"The people and heritage of our area are an important part of the stories we share.
"It’s so heart-warming to see the young children of Colindale Primary School inspired by our collections and creating something that adds value to our site and we look forward to future projects with them.”
The school will also b e partnering with the RAF museum throughout the centenary celebrations, with children publishing blogs on the museum's website and helping influence new talks and tours of the area.
