Phil Beer's family have described him as a lively, fun-loving young man who stood out from the crowd with his wild hair styles and wicked sense of humour'.
Their loss, like any family's loss, left a gaping hole in their lives. But this tragedy was compounded not only by the horrific mass murder of the July 7 bombs, but by the way the authorities dealt with them.
From the first day when he was missing to this day, two years on, the Beer family feel powerless, and that is unacceptable.
We can be thankful the recent car bombs in London were discovered in time, but what comfort is that to those who have already lost loved-ones, and are still waiting for answers two years.
