To mark the festive season Elstree & Borehamwood Town Council is bringing some festive cheer to the town with the annual Christmas lights switch-on.
On Sunday the event will run from 2pm to 6pm at All Saints Church in Shenley Road with Dame Barbara Windsor having the honour of switching on the lights at 4.30pm.
There will be free entertainment including an ice rink, a vintage carousel, Santa's grotto and a carol concert from 2pm to 3pm.
Outside entertainment will also be supplied by the Borehamwood Community Choir, Borehamwood Rock Choir, and the Borehamwood Brass Band.
Tesco will be giving out free cakes, tea and coffee. Collections will be made for the Elstree and Borehamwood Museum.
