Hundreds gathered outside war memorials across the borough to remember those who have fallen during war.
Borehamwood saw the ceremony proceed along Shenley Road to the Borehamwood Town Memorial for a short service.
The congregation then observed the two minutes silence, followed by the laying of wreaths.
Afterwards, the parade reformed and returned along Shenley Road for a Service at All Saints Church.
In Shenley, wreaths were laid by members of the public, the scouting community and local dignitaries.
There was also an act of remembrance at Elstree village War Memorial and a service in St Nicholas Church.
