A woman grieving for her husband is desperate to find her missing jewellery, which includes a £250,000 diamond pendant made by her late father.

Police in Westminster want to speak to Ma Rowena Laysa Manuel, following the theft in April this year.

Mrs Manuel has links to Hendon and Westminster.

She also goes by the name of Nina - was employed as a carer to look after the victim's terminally ill husband.

Following his death, Mrs Manuel was asked to stay on for company and paid for general house work.

On April 15 this year, a woman in her 60’s - left her home in St John's Wood to run and returned to find Manuel had left.

She discovered that three sentimental items, a butterfly diamond pendant made by her late father valued at £250,000.

Her solitaire diamond engagement ring valued at £50,000 with the GIA serial number 5171051689 was missing and a pair of two carat solitaire diamond earrings.

A coin collection worth over £200,000 had also been taken.

A Filipino woman, Manuel is described as 5ft 4ins and wears a hearing aid.

She has links in Suffolk, Brentwood and is known to frequent Birmingham, Slough, Reading and Worchester as well as London Hendon and Westminster.

DC Nikki Hubbard of Westminster's Serious Crime Unit, said: “The victim is totally devastated by the loss.

"She is still grieving for her husband and the ring was something that felt close to her husband.

"The effect on the victim has been tremendous; she has lost her independence and is in constant fear."

A woman, 44, was arrested in May in connection with the investigation. She is currently on bail.
