Staff from two Body Shop branches volunteered for three days and planted seeds using their gardening experience.

The staff from the Borehamwood and Barnet Body Shop put on their gardening gloves on Wednesday July 5 at Aldenham Country Park.

They planted a new seed bed and helped staff identify weeds which they took out using their own experiences in the garden.

The following day more volunteers helped Rural Care with some painting on Lower Farm which is having a makeover.

Staff learnt about types of chickens and later they cleaned the climbing wall and soft mats and arranged all the toys in the play barn.

The volunteers had been happy to do something for the farm and the animals as part of their Enrich not Exploit Corporate Social Responsibility Framework which was set in February.

As part of this the employees chose to volunteer to help the planet, animals and people.

On the last day the volunteers painted the fences on Lower Farm and they were given the chance to see some daily life around the park.
