A woman and two men were tied up after a group of seven men forced their way into a flat.

On Thursday April 28 between midnight and 1.45am, a group of seven men knocked on the door of a flat in Shenley Road, in Borehamwood.

A woman answered the door and the group forced their way into the property and tied up the woman and two men.

The thieves searched the property and took a wallet, jewellery, mobile phones and iPads before leaving.

All the three victims were assaulted and all had bruising. One of the men also suffered a large cut to his forehead.

The seven offenders were wearing dark clothing with hoods and balaclavas.

PC Mike McCoy said: “I’d like to reassure members of the public that we are doing all we can to trace these offenders.

“We believe this to be an isolated incident and crimes of this type are unusual in Hertfordshire.

“I’m appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious to get in touch as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information should contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on 101.
