The sinkhole
- In October St Albans made national news when a giant sinkhole opened up in a quiet residential cul-de-sac.
Some 20 people, including a heavily pregnant woman, were evacuated from their homes in Fontmell Close when the road collapsed overnight swallowing up a driveway and gardens.
The work to repair the hole is ongoing.
