Man taken to hospital after flat fire in St Albans this morning
A man was taken to hospital after a flat fire in St Albans this morning.
The blaze broke out shortly before 4.30am in the flat in Goldsmith Way, off Waverley Road.
Two crews from St Albans Fire Station attended and extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus and a hose reel.
The cause of the fire, which originated in the lounge, is believed to be accidental.
Firefighters left the scene at 6.30am.
