Emergency services were called after two cars collided with each other.

Police were called at 11.42am on October 5 following a report of a two car collision on Manor Way in Borehamwood near the post office.

According to the police report, the airbags had gone off in both cars and one was smoking.

The Borehamwood fire service attended the scene at 11.46am. No one was trapped but trauma care was given whilst they waited for the ambulance.

The two cars involved were a black Vauxhall and a beige Citroen Zara.

Anusha Rajani, the postmistress who witnessed the crash, said: “The black car was coming from Manor Rise and the other car was coming from a right hand driveway.

“The black car tried to give way but it was coming quite fast and it hit the lamppost and then the bin next to the post office.

“This is the second accident like this I have witnessed. It was exactly the same.”
