A celebrated war film and Elstree studio production ‘Dam Busters’ is set to return to the big screen next month.
Elstree Screen Heritage will be holding a special screening to celebrate the films 60th anniversary in October.
A history of the films production and behind-the-scenes photos will be displayed prior to the screening.
There will also be an opportunity to purchase copies of the Lincolnshire Lancaster Association’s 100-page glossy souvenir magazine, telling the story of The Dam Busters Raid and the making of the film.
Originally made in 1951 in Borehamwood ABPC (Associated British Picture Corporation, now Elstree Studios) the film features the famous film score ‘The Dam Busters March.’ The event will be held at the Ark Community Theatre on Saturday 31st October at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £6.50 and can be purchased either online or by phone: 020 8238 7288 www.thearktheatre.co.uk/whats-on.htm
