A man who pulled out an imitation gun in a police station has been sentenced to a nine-month suspended sentence.

Ricardas Balsevicus, 31, of Roxborough Road, Harrow, walked up to the front counter of Wembley police station, in Harrow Road, on February 26 and asked an officer for directions.

Police said the 31-year-old then became aggressive when asked if he needed help and pulled the firearm out of his bag and pointed it at a female officer before being arrested.

Balsevicus pleaded guilty to possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear or violence at Harrow Crown Court on Tuesday, April 7.

He was given a nine-month suspended jail sentence, ordered to carry out 300 hours of community service and must pay £385 in costs and compensation.

The court also ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the imitation gun.
