Politicians saw how a charity's work is helping young people stay out of trouble.
Harrow East’s Conservative candidate Bob Blackman joined Harrow West candidate Hannah David in a visit to youth charity Ignite.
The Ignite Trust has recently received a grant of £8,378 from the Big Lottery Fund to help it carry forward its programme of working with young people at risk of committing anti-social behaviour.
The trust runs sports, music and youth events and clubs, as well as activities to help young people find work and do well at school.
The pair visited a project called In the Mix, run by a partnership of Ignite, Home Group, Roxeth Community Church and South Harrow Nando’s.
Mr Blackman said: “It was a real joy to see this sort of positive youth engagement at a ground level being carried forward in Harrow.
“The sheer amount of work being done by Ignite is extremely impressive and it was very clear that they are making a real difference in young peoples’ lives.
“I look forward to seeing more positive initiatives come out of this funding boost.”
