Rejected cemetery plans for shooting ground appealed
An appeal has been made after plans to turn a shooting ground and driving range into a burial ground were rejected.
Hertsmere Borough Council refused permission for Claudio Capaldo to redevelop the A1 Shooting on the Barnet by-pass in Borehamwood as a cemetery.
Objectors to the scheme said it would create a new road and a large area of hard surfacing on open green belt land.
The deadline for written representations is January 20, 2015. The decision is not expected until a month afterwards.
