A group for people with sight problems raised almost £1,000 for causes close to their hearts at their charity Christmas concert.

Singer Patti Boulaye and Hertsmere MP James Clappison joined the audience at the Ark Theatre for the Visually Impaired Club's concert on Saturday night.

The show, organised by fundraising chairman Sasha Capocci, featured the HFT Choir and young dancers from Hertsmere Academy of Dance & Performing Arts.

Singer and composer Merit Arianne Stephanos was accompanied by pianist and composer Alcyona, with a performance by tribal dancer Anais Lilia.

Sasha Capocci's son Michael gave a solo performance backed by the choir.

All money raised will be donated to organisations including the Talking Newspaper and HFT Choir Unlimited.
