The festive season will officially begin later this month when the town's Christmas lights are turned on.
Borehamwood's annual Christmas lights ceremony will take place behind All Saints Church in Shenley Road on Sunday, November 30, from 2pm to 6pm .
Free entertainment will include an ice rink, a vintage carousel and more.
All Saints Church will play host to primary school children singing carols from 3pm onwards, before mulled wine, mince pies and tBorehamwood Brass Band warm up the crowd for the main event.
At 4pm Cllr Pat Strack, Mayor of Elstree and Borehamwood, will turn on the lights illuminating Shenley Road, Manor Way, Leeming Road, and Elstree High Street, formally marking the start of the festive season.
Collections will be made throughout the event for the poppy appeal.
