A religious committee hosted a talk on community issues faced by those living in Hertsmere.
The Radlett Council of Christians and Jews committee members heard from the Reverend of St Michael's church, Borehamwood, in a short lecture on community issues.
Rev Richard Leslie, who is shortly to be made a Canon, gave a talk about the vicars in four generations of his family and how he came to set up the Forum of Faiths in Hertsmere.
He was subsequently instrumental in the establishment of the Borehamwood Food Bank, and went on to describe its and ongoing vital function of providing emergency food for those in crisis.
To mark upcoming this weekend’s Mitzvah Day, the committee presented him with food which had been collected for the food bank.
