Former and current Brownies are being called on to help celebrate 100 years of the Brownie movement.

The worldwide Brownie movement started in Elstree, at Schopwick Place, 100 years ago, and the town hopes to celebrate the occasion with a big Brownie party.

Past and present Brownies are invited to enjoy an afternoon of memories, meeting old friends and viewing the exhibition of archive material.

The event will culminate with a chance to sing some songs around the camp fire and enjoy a birthday cake.

The party, to be held at Schopwick on Sunday from 2pm to 4pm, is an invitation-only event but these can be obtained by contacting Councillor Pat Strack 0208 386 3151 or by email pat.strack@ntlworld.com
