People who have their lives crippled with the pain of rheumatoid arthritis are being reminded they are not alone.
The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society is running a roadshow next month at the Holiday Inn in Elstree.
Rheumatoid arthritis, which mostly affects people in their 40s and above, is caused when a person’s immune system starts attacking healthy joints, most commonly the hands, feet and wrists.
The society aims to provide information and support for people with the disease, their families, friends and carers.
The event will be a chance to meet other sufferers and learn how to make a difference to sufferers locally and nationally.
The roadshow will take place between 10am and 4pm on March 12, and refreshments will be provided.
