People can find out more about how to sign up their pooch to be the next Scooby Doo at a special event in Borehamwood.

Under Hertsmere's Dog Watch scheme, people are encouraged to report any suspicious activity they see or hear when walking their four-legged friends.

During the event, people will also be able to get their hands on free pesonal safety items including Dalmation-styled attack alarms and UV security marking pens.

Police Community Support Officers will also be giving our information on how to report problems such as doug fouling in their neighbourhood and community safety issues in the area.

There will also be a chance to find out more about Online Watch Link.

The day, organised by Hertsmere Community Safety Partnership, will be held at the BECC Children’s Centre, off Furzehill Road, Borehamwood, from 1pm to 3pm on Tuesday, April 30.
