Radlett-based Belstone FC made history by reaching their second county final in one season. They beat Marquis United 4-0 in the semi-final of the Hertfordshire Senior Sunday County Cup to set up a final with Comet Sports, the only team to beat Belstone in 2011 when they met in the last 16 of the National Sunday FA Cup. Belstone’s goals against Marquis came from Denilson Vicentre (2), Craig Tomkins and Jamal Matten.

And that achievement was followed at Barnes Albion in the Middlesex Sunday Premier Cup. Belstone took an early lead through Craig Tomkins and he doubled the scoring before half-time. The second half saw a spirited fightback by Barnes but the score remained 2-0 to set up a final against Oak Park Rangers.

The final of the Middlesex competition will take place at Harefield United FC on Sunday, March 20.

The final of the Hertfordshire competition will take place at the County Ground, Letchworth, seven days later.
